Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is a cliffside resort on the edge of Cabo San Lucas, and its spa is tucked away out of sight. Built beneath the main check-in area, it occupies around 12,000 square feet with ocean views and holds a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for 2026.

The concept is the moon and the sea. Designed by spa designer Sylvia Sepielli, it organises its signature treatments around lunar phases and draws on curanderismo, the Mexican tradition of folk healing, along with Baja ingredients. Even the entrance makes a statement, through a large rotating wooden door.

It earns its place for doing something distinctive in a market full of capable spas. The moon-phase menu, the healer-led treatments and the saltwater pool create a calm, coherent world just minutes from the bustle of the Cabo San Lucas marina.

What to expect

Private treatment rooms open straight onto a saltwater meditation pool. The wet areas include grottos with whirlpools, steam rooms, a Finnish sauna and an ice room, alongside separate relaxation lounges for men and women stocked with herbal tea and light snacks.

The signature Moon Treatments come in four phases, Awakening, Nourishing, Calming and Restoring, each pairing a natural body scrub with a massage. Folk healing treatments include The Intention, led by a local healer using traditional herbs and techniques. Visits begin with a cleansing foot ritual using local herbs and lime. Product lines include Natura Bissé, The Organic Pharmacy and OSEA.

A full-service salon handles hair, makeup and nails and is popular with wedding parties, while an ocean-view fitness centre runs daily group classes such as yoga, Pilates and TRX.
