El Once at Palmilla Reserve
An 11-hole private par-3 course in a Palmilla valley, the first in Los Cabos with two pins on every green.
Not every important golf opening is a championship course. El Once, Spanish for eleven, is a private par-3 course for members of The Reserve Club at Palmilla Reserve, the final new real estate offering within the Palmilla master-planned community, home of One&Only Palmilla. Construction by Landscapes Unlimited was nearing its first phase in September 2026, with six holes due to open later in the year and the full course expected by the end of 2027.
The design
The course is the work of Agustín Pizá, a Mexican architect known locally for rebuilding flood-damaged holes at Cabo San Lucas Country Club after Tropical Storm Lidia in 2017. Eleven holes measure 1,017 yards across 17 acres of rolling valley ground at the western end of Palmilla Reserve, cut by arroyos and visited often by wildlife. The greens are carved into the mountainsides, and every one carries two flags at different elevations, a first for Los Cabos.
Pizá has described multiple elevated tees, target greens and a more casual, social style of play. That means a round that can be short, varied and played with family or friends late in the afternoon, rather than a five-hour test.
The club
The course runs between the Valley Estates, Palmilla Park and The Summit neighbourhoods, and the clubhouse sits at its edge near a park and trail system. Access is exclusive to Reserve Club members and their guests. Mexico News Daily notes it will be only the second short course in Los Cabos, after Tiger Woods’s Oasis at Diamante.
Why it matters
Short courses have become one of the most popular additions to private clubs worldwide, because they suit beginners, children and experienced players alike. El Once gives Palmilla Reserve a signature amenity of its own, and it arrives as the neighbouring One&Only Palmilla Golf Club is being rebuilt.
