SE Spa at Grand Velas Los Cabos

Grand Velas Los Cabos, run by the family-owned Grand Velas group, sits on the Tourist Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Its SE Spa is one of the largest in the region, set across more than 35,000 square feet on two levels, and is rated Four-Star by Forbes Travel Guide for 2026. Its emblem, the dragonfly, nods to traditional healing.

The spa’s philosophy is renewal through ritual. Treatments combine current technology with elements of the desert landscape and Mexican natural remedies, and every guest is assigned a personal spa valet to guide the visit.

It earns its place for water. The hydrotherapy offer here is among the most elaborate in Los Cabos, and it is folded into every treatment rather than sold as an extra.

What to expect

Each visit includes the Spa Water Journey, a seven-step ceremony that moves through a whirlpool, sauna, steam room and cold pool, alternating temperature and pressure and adding aromatherapy, sensory rain showers and multi-sensory pools with jets, geysers and bubble beds. Revitalising drinks and light bites are served along the way.

The menu leans into Mexican and pre-Columbian themes. Signature work centres on blue agave, used in massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. Other options include tequila and ancestral stone massages, a coffee scrub followed by a chocolate body mask, a CBD deep tissue massage, reflexology and a massage designed for mothers-to-be. Spa Atelier workshops cover subjects such as aromatherapy, tea ceremonies and nutrition.

A barbershop offers straight-razor shaves and scalp treatments, and a salon and bridal suite with Sea of Cortez views serve wedding parties.
