Solaz, a Luxury Collection resort in Cabo Real, sits on 34 acres along more than 1,300 feet of beach facing the Sea of Cortez. Its spa, Ojo de Liebre, covers around 10,000 square feet and is finished in marble and Mexican huanacaxtle wood, with a design that takes its inspiration from both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific. Forbes Travel Guide rates it Four-Star for 2026.

Its calling card is thalassotherapy, the use of seawater for therapeutic purposes. Ojo de Liebre is described as the only thalasso spa in the Baja desert, and that focus gives it a clear identity among the Corridor’s many accomplished spas.

It also casts a wider net than most, with Ayurvedic treatments such as shirodhara, services designed for men and, unusually, treatments for dogs and cats.

What to expect

The spa has 12 treatment rooms, including four VIP double rooms, and several larger rooms come with private saunas, steam showers or outdoor rock-garden relaxation areas. The thalasso circuit combines seawater and freshwater pools, hot and ice-cold tubs, a whirlpool, cold plunge, sauna and steam room, along with chromotherapy light showers and a cryotherapy chamber. A co-ed zone features a jet pool aimed at the lower back, legs, neck and shoulders.

The menu spans massages, facials, scrubs and detox therapies. Signatures include a seaweed body buff, a thalasso therapy treatment, and a Baja-inspired ritual combining a facial, exfoliation and massage with local fruits. A customised wellness programme can bring together massages, breathing classes, a detox plan and healthy cooking classes with the chef. A relaxation lounge serves light snacks and drinks between sessions.

An indoor pool, salon and gym with Technogym equipment round out the facilities.
