Cabo Private Guide was founded on a simple idea: personal, exclusive service on the water. Based on the Cabo San Lucas marina, it specialises in private guides and tailored tours for diving, snorkelling, whale watching and ocean safaris, rather than packing guests onto large group boats.

Its credentials are serious. The company is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center and 5 Star Dive Center, holds PADI Eco Center status and runs a sister instructor academy. Its emphasis on low-impact excursions and marine conservation runs through everything it does.

It earns its place for reach as much as for privacy. Few operators range as widely across southern Baja, with trips from the Bay of Cabo to Cabo Pulmo, La Paz, Cerralvo Island and Todos Santos.

What to expect

Around Cabo, divers can explore the bay and the Corridor, while more experienced divers can tackle Gordo Banks over two days. Day trips head to Cabo Pulmo for diving and snorkelling, to La Paz for whale sharks and sea lions, and to Cerralvo Island, where La Reina reef, mobula rays and wild dolphins are the draw.

Whale watching can be booked alone or paired with snorkelling or a dive. Mobula ray safaris run in season. The full PADI course ladder is available, from a first try dive through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and specialties to a divemaster internship, along with a five-day scuba camp for children.

Guests choose between a private panga dive boat and a private dive yacht, and multi-day diving packages and dive-and-stay options can be arranged for longer visits.

  • Book by email, phone or WhatsApp; the shop is in Plaza Náutica on the marina.
