Chileno Bay is the Los Cabos community that gets the sea right. Developed by Discovery Land Company at Km 15 of the Tourist Corridor, the private club spans roughly 1,200 acres of coastline, hillside and desert between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, wrapped around one of the calmest, clearest bays on the coast.

The bay itself is the draw. Chileno Beach holds Blue Flag certification and is consistently named among the area’s best for swimming and snorkeling, a rare thing on a coast known for strong surf. Discovery Land built its Beach Club right on it, so everyday life here can revolve around the water in a way few Cabo communities can offer.

Golf is the other pillar. The club’s par-72 championship course is by Tom Fazio, with a second Fazio course under way and a lit six-hole short course for evenings, and the Auberge-managed Chileno Bay Resort & Residences adds a hotel and villas within the same setting.

Life here

Homes range from beach casitas and contemporary villas to hillside retreats, modern haciendas and large estates across nine neighbourhoods. Days might start on the 14 pickleball courts or the tennis courts, move to the oceanfront clubhouse with its spa, lap pool, sauna and cold plunge, and end with dinner at Comal or the beachfront grill. Families have a kids’ club, teen center, park and private cinema, and the club runs outdoor pursuits from guided hikes to water sports. An on-site organic farm supplies the kitchens, and the bay’s coral reef is right offshore for snorkeling and diving.
