The beach club at the Cove Club is the coastal counterpart to one of the most celebrated golf courses in Mexico. It belongs to The Cove Golf & Beach Club, a private golf and beach community within Cabo del Sol on the Sea of Cortez, in the stretch between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo that is sometimes called the Gold Coast.

What sets it apart is the coastline it opens onto. The community has access to more than two miles of shoreline, with secluded coves and beaches set against the rocky edge of the Cape. Days here are designed around the sand: toes-in-the-sand dining, snorkeling over the reefs and long, lazy afternoons that feel worlds away from Medano.

It earns its place on this list as one of the most private beach experiences in Los Cabos. There are no day passes and no crowds; this is a club for members and the people they bring, built into a community that also includes Jack Nicklaus’ oceanfront Cove Club course.

What to expect

Expect farm-to-table and sea-to-table cooking, served right at the water’s edge, and a calm, residential pace. The beach is a starting point rather than the whole story: members can move between the sand, the golf course, and a network of mountain-bike and hiking trails across the property. The views out over the Sea of Cortez are the constant, from the shoreline to the higher ground behind it.

Good to know

  • Cove Club membership is tied to the community within Cabo del Sol; contact the club for current details.
  • It sits on the Tourist Corridor, roughly 15 minutes from Cabo San Lucas.
  • Members also have access to the Jack Nicklaus-designed Cove Club golf course.
