Cabo Yacht Life is a family business that has been running boats in Cabo San Lucas for more than 30 years. Captain Juan, his brother Antonio and his children Daniel, Eva and Poncho share the work, from captaining to hosting and cooking, and that family presence shapes the feel of a day on board.

The company owns its yachts and books guests directly rather than through third-party agents. The result is a straightforward, all-inclusive private charter: food, drinks, captain, chef, fuel and a sound system are built into each trip.

It earns its place on this list for the breadth of its fleet and the personal service. Whether the plan is a few hours at the Arch with friends or a multi-night live-aboard trip, the same family-run team handles it.

What to expect

The fleet ranges from the 36-foot Sea Ray Cataleya and the 47-foot Sea Ray Sundancer named for the company, through the 52-foot flybridge Opulence, to the 80-foot Ferretti Patrón and a 100-foot Maiora for larger celebrations. The three smaller yachts also run fishing charters.

Popular outings include a cruise to the Arch and Lovers Beach, snorkelling in secluded bays, sunset cruises and, in season, whale watching. The team can tailor tours, source a specific yacht and arrange multi-day live-aboard charters, supported by a crew of more than twenty professionals. A dedicated food menu lets guests plan what is served on board. The company has also earned TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence and Travelers’ Choice awards.

Departures are from the Cabo San Lucas marina, close to the restaurants and hotels of the town centre.
