Cabo Sailing
A locally owned company running truly private sailing charters on its own 38 to 51 ft boats.
Cabo Sailing brings a quieter kind of luxury to the Cabo San Lucas waterfront: the sound of wind in the sails rather than the roar of engines. The company owns and operates every boat in its fleet, a mix of private sailboats and motor yachts, and its bilingual captains have more than a decade of experience on these waters.
Days on the water centre on the classic Cabo sights, Land’s End, the Arch and Lovers Beach, with stops in nearby bays for snorkelling. Cruises come with crew, an open bar, food and snorkel gear, so the planning is simple.
It earns its spot for offering a genuine sailing experience alongside more conventional yacht charters, giving visitors a choice of pace. A sunset sail past the Arch is among the most memorable ways to end a day in Cabo.
What to expect
The fleet includes 38-foot and 42-foot sailboats, along with private motor yachts of 42, 45 and 51 feet. The 51-foot yacht takes up to 20 guests and the 42-foot yacht up to 18, making them suitable for celebrations, while the 45-foot yacht holds 12 and the 38-foot sailboat, with room for nine, suits couples and small families.
Options include snorkelling cruises, sunset sails, private whale-watching trips in season, bachelorette cruises and scuba outings. Guests who prefer a social atmosphere can join shared group sailing on the sailboats, while those wanting privacy can charter a whole vessel.
Because every boat is company-owned, guests are dealing directly with the operator rather than a reseller, and the captains know each vessel well.
