Amanvari
Aman's first Mexico resort, opened August 2026: just 18 casitas at Costa Palmas between estuary, desert and beach.
Amanvari is Aman’s first resort in Mexico, and it is the newest and most exclusive address on this list. It opened on 1 August 2026 on the East Cape of Baja California Sur, facing the Sea of Cortez within the 1,500-acre Costa Palmas estate, after years of anticipation. The name joins Sanskrit words for peace and water.
True to the brand, it is tiny. There are just 18 casitas, raised above the landscape, with a few set along the estuary or directly on the sand. Most come with a private heated pool and terrace, and the architecture is organic and contemporary, with sand-toned interiors that echo the desert around it.
The setting is remote by design: mountains, estuary, desert and a long white beach, roughly an hour’s drive from the airport or about 15 minutes by helicopter.
What to expect
The resort counts three miles of swimmable shoreline and 18 acres of organic orchards and farmland. Dining spans Luma, cooking coastal food over open fire; Sesui, for Japanese; Arva, for Italian; and The Lounge for cocktails. A main pool overlooks the ocean.
The spa reflects Aman’s wellness focus, with six treatment rooms, two Hydro Houses with a banya and a hammam, a contemporary temazcal and a 24-hour gym. Days can be filled with snorkelling, diving, sailing, paddleboarding, horseback riding and guided desert hikes, and guests have access to the wider Costa Palmas estate, including its golf course.
