Clase Azul La Terraza
The tequila house's flagship destination: a boutique with Los Cabos-only editions, a tasting room, restaurant and omakase bar.
Clase Azul La Terraza is where one of Mexico’s most recognisable spirits brands turned itself into a place. Opened in October 2022 at The Shoppes at Palmilla as the first project of Clase Azul Destinations, the brand’s hospitality arm, it gathers a bar, a restaurant, an omakase counter, a tasting room and a boutique under one roof on the Corridor.
The spaces take their cues from the surrounding landscape of sand, sea, cliff and sunlight, and the same craft sensibility behind the brand’s artisan-made decanters runs through the experience. It earns its place on this list because it does far more than pour tequila: it treats Mexican spirits, Baja ingredients and artisan design as one story.
The kitchen is led by Creative Chef Iván Arias, whose menus draw on his team’s travels along the Baja California peninsula and on ingredients from local farmers and fishermen.
What to expect
At the bar, Clase Azul tequila and mezcal are served neat or in signature cocktails, alongside Baja wines and local craft beer. The restaurant focuses on regional seafood and produce. The headline for food lovers is the six-seat omakase counter, where a 14-course tasting blends Japanese technique with Mexican and Baja flavours. A Taste of Culture is a guided tasting of five Clase Azul expressions for small groups, and the boutique stocks rare and limited editions. Guests can also design a personalised decanter through the Cosmos experience, a short questionnaire that shapes its colours and symbols. Reservations are wise, especially for the omakase and tastings.
