Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort
Cabo's benchmark ultra-luxury resort: butler-served suites with private plunge pools and rooftop terraces on the Sea of Cortez.
Las Ventanas al Paraíso has long been the benchmark for luxury in Los Cabos, and its recent run of honours shows it is not resting on reputation. In 2026 it was ranked number one on La Liste’s World’s Best Hotels, placed 25th on The World’s 50 Best Hotels, awarded two Michelin Keys, and confirmed again as a Forbes Five-Star hotel and AAA Five Diamond resort.
The resort sits at Km 19.5 on the Tourist Corridor near San José del Cabo, where desert meets the Sea of Cortez. Its 84 suites and villas are rooted in Mexican craft: hand-carved cabinetry, limestone floors, colourful tiling and adobe fireplaces, with pebblestone paths and bougainvillea linking the low-rise buildings.
Its reputation rests on polish and privacy: a resort that rewards slow days, with larger family suites and residences making it work for multigenerational trips too.
What to expect
Junior suites open onto private patios or rooftop terraces, and signature villas add infinity pools and indoor-outdoor living. At the top of the range is the Ty Warner Mansion, a 28,000-square-foot oceanfront villa with its own chef. Across the grounds are eight pool and beach areas, including beachfront infinity pools, a lazy river and swim-up bars.
Dining is a highlight in its own right. Árbol brings Asian and Indian coastal cooking, Alebrije serves Mexican breakfasts and Italian dinners, the Sea Grill cooks over wood at the sand’s edge, and La Botica is a speakeasy styled on a vintage apothecary. The spa’s Four Elements menu draws on Baja healing traditions, and experiences range from sunrise yoga and horseback rides on the beach to stargazing.
